Soundtrack Releases – New & Imminent
Please note: this blog was recently switched over to a new server, and is in the process of being upgraded with a a more versatile theme. (The last one was Mimbo, which I may or may not re-use.)
In any event, the format right now is a bit wonky, with text somewhat crunched up, but everything should look pretty again by the end of the week, with the missing blogs from April + May + early June back as well. Those wanting a more fluid look (plus all the missing blogs) can flip to the mirror blog at www.mondomark.blogspot.com, which reads better (but has bloggerish bugs of its own).

Recently discussed at FSM’s Message Board is Miklos Rozsa’s Ben-Hur, which was originally released several ears ago in a deluxe ‘long box’ set by Rhino. Rhino’s eventual stoppage of soundtracks from TCM Music was a disappointment, but the label did put out a number of notable releases, and apparently some of their most popular titles are being reissued by Sony in standard CD cases with the same music content.
