With Video Store Day now done, I’ve written up another related blog about taboo video titles of the era as a preamble to scans from a 1986 issue of Canadian Video Retailer. Also included in the Editor’s Blog are scans of a longer article about ‘knowing your local clientele,’ featuring interviews with managers / owners from three shops in the GTA: the late Video Visa in Thornhill, the late CED rental shop The Video Disc Centre which existed at Toronto’s Union Station, and Mr. Video (which in 1993 morphed into the still-strong Bay Street Video).
